Created by Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi, The Kashmir Files Unreported is a seven part series which will soon premiere on ZEE5. The makers claim that ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ unfolds the events that led to the mass exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s.
In the trailer of ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported‘, people are telling how in those days in Kashmir they used to raise slogans of ‘Hum kya chahte hain azadi’. In the video, an elderly woman is telling that she was scared. At the same time, another woman is telling that ‘there were letters outside the houses that he will be killed in your house’.
Speaking about The Kashmir Files Unreported, director-producer Vivek Agnihotri said, “The genocide in Kashmir is a blot on not only India but humanity. It is considered to be the greatest hidden tragedy of modern times. It was very important to us to tell this story honestly. Till now all the reports that have come in films, literature and media are contemporary. After 32 years when we made The Kashmir Files based on 4 years of extensive research, it was an eye opener.
On the other hand, if the makers are to be believed, in this docu-series, historians, experts and real life sufferers and their families have been talked about. Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, this series will be shown in seven parts. Till now the release date of this web series has not been revealed.
