Born in Kolkata in 1963, Rituparno Ghosh directed his first film at the age of 31. Talking about his first Hindi film, its name was Raincoat. Released in 2004, the film won the National Film Award. Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgn played the lead roles in this film. The last Hindi film directed by him is ‘Sunglass’. His foray into film production started in 1994 with the Bengali film ‘Harrier Angati’.
