Akshay Kumar‘s third installment of the Welcome franchise, Welcome 3 has been doing the rounds for the past several days. Recently Arshad Warsi also confirmed his entry for Welcome 3. And now the latest update about Akshay Kumar’s Welcome 3 is that, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor have walked out of the film and Munnabhai Jodi i.e. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have been cast in their place.

The script of Welcome 3 has been locked. As per a report, a source revealed, “Welcome could be the first of the 3 films under Firoz Nadiadwala‘s banner as the script is already ready some time back. The filmmakers are planning to bring a new twist to the tale of this comic caper by roping in Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the roles of notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday.

The pair has already showcased their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise.”

When the source was asked why Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are no longer a part of the film, the source said, “It is a matter of monetary disagreement between the duo and the producer.”

The film is expected to go on floors next year after Akshay Kumar completes the shooting of Jolly LLB 3 and Housefull 5.
