Mithun Chakraborty Honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Actor Mithun Chakraborty was grateful when his name was announced for DADA SAHEB PHALKE awards. He said dedication and hard work can only make it possible to achieve this honour. Ashwini Vishnaw (union minister) announced the award on social media to which Prime Minister Modi praised Mithun Chakraborty as a cultural icon.
Mithun has dedicated this award to his family and fans and encouraged aspiring actors to remain focused on their goal. He is now perusing social work and choses to stay away for politics. Addressing speculations of political links to this award, Chakraborty emphasised on decades of hard work in the film industry and the awards is a result of that.
